Rest in the Middle of the Storm.

Good Morning,

As we navigate these troubling waters induced by this Pandemic, my prayer is that we would rest in Christ. In the book of Mark 4:35-41 the Bible speaks of a situation where Jesus was asleep in the back of the boat with his head on a pillow when a violent storm suddenly arose. The storm was so fierce that even these experienced fishermen feared that they would perish. In their desperation they ran to Jesus asking the question don’t you care that we perish?

The Bible goes on to say that Jesus spoke to the water saying peace be still.

He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”

In the midst of this storm, if you are afraid, I pray that God will speak to the storm rising in your life, threatening to overtake you and give you comfort and peace.

We may not be in the building, but you are certainly in my heart, but more importantly, we are in the hands of our beloved savior, covered by his blood.
